About Santa Ana
Known as “The Brown City,” “Heroic City,” “World Capital,” and “Heaven’s Branch” for being considered one of the most important and distinguished places in El Salvador.
Its historic center is one of the best in Central America; the almost perfect placement of its buildings around Libertad Park has earned it that recognition. If you visit the Brown City, you cannot miss the Santa Ana Cathedral, declared Cultural Heritage of El Salvador in 1995.
Nearby you also find the National Theater, one of the most beautiful with the best acoustics and decoration in El Salvador, inaugurated in 1910. You will also enjoy visiting the Santa Ana Centro Municipal Palace, seat of the municipal government.
