Parque Recreativo Apulo

The main attraction of this park is Lake Ilopango, which is of volcanic origin; its crater is located right at the bottom of the lake, and according to historical data the caldera was formed as a result of a cataclysmic eruption, producing enormous pyroclastic flows that destroyed various Maya cities.

In this park you can enjoy the boardwalk, pier, and lighthouse, as well as pools, picnic areas, restaurants, and a modern beach soccer stadium.
