Cerro Las Pavas
Cojutepeque: Cuscatlán Sur
About Cerro Las Pavas
This magical nature spot is visited by many Salvadorans and foreigners, but especially devotees of the Virgin of Fátima.
The hill has an imposing view of Ilopango Lake from various points, of the Jiboa valley and of San Vicente volcano. Inside, there are enormous trees over 100 years old, which cover the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Fátima that sits at the summit.
Beyond the solemnity, at this place you can enjoy the flora, the fauna and the mild climate, as well as areas for walking and resting.
You cannot leave without touring the city of Cojutepeque, famous for its sausage making and its fruit juices.
