About Ahuachapán
Ahuachapán, located in the western part of El Salvador, has unique destinations where you can enjoy everything from high-altitude coffee to its traditions.
One of the main attractions is the Parish of La Asunción, considered an architectural jewel, with its colonial-style building over 100 years old. Every year, in honor of its patron saint, the Day of the Little Lanterns is celebrated, a prelude to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, where its main streets and nearby municipalities are decorated with handcrafted lanterns.
You can also walk through Pasaje La Concordia, a pedestrian area that features colorful murals, emblematic sites, and rich history such as the monument to the family in La Concordia park and, in Francisco Menéndez park, the monument to General Francisco Morazán, who was President of the Republic of El Salvador.
If you want to experience the western part of El Salvador and discover the wealth of tourist destinations surrounding Ahuachapán, visit this place that will surprise you.
